Lesa Tureaud is the daughter of Laurence Tureaud, famously known as Mr. T, and Phyllis Clark. She was born in 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Lesa Tureaud has two siblings, namely Erika Tureaud and Laurence Tureaud Jr.

Lesa Tureaud’s Professional Career

Lesa Tureaud is a professional therapist. She worked at One Hope United as a therapist from January to September 2010. Lesa Tureaud’s main role was performing individual assessments, planning treatments, and offering psychotherapy services to children and adolescents from diverse social cultures. 

In addition, as a detention therapist, Lesa Tureaud served at the 19th Judicial Circuit Court at Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan, Illinois.

As one of the twelve children in his family, Lesa Tureaud’s father, Mr. T, was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on 21st March 1952. Mr. T is a famous actor and a professional actor. He is known for his role in “Rocky III”, “Freaked”, “The A-Team,” and “Spy-Hard.”

Lesa Tureaud’s father, Mr. T, married Phyllis Clark in 1971. However, they later divorced after having two children. Lesa Tureaud’s father changed his name to Mr. T in 1970. With the prefix Mr. to his name, he demanded to be addressed respectfully, which was denied to black men.

Lesa Tureaud’s Father, Mr. T, attended the Dunbar Vocational High School, where he participated in martial arts training, football, and wrestling. While studying at Dunbar, Lesa Tureaud’s father won two consecutive wrestling championships.

He then proceeded to Prairie View A&M University after securing a football scholarship. At the university, Mr. T pursued a major in mathematics. However, he was expelled from the university after the first year of his studies.

Lesa Tureaud’s Father, Mr. T, was enlisted in the United States Army in 1975. He was excellent in training and was named the best trainee from approximately 6,000 trainees. He later joined the military police corps.

After leaving the army, Lesa Tureaud’s Father, Mr. T, became a bouncer in Chicago thanks to his intimidating physique. He later became a professional bodyguard to celebrities like Michael Jackson and Muhammad Ali.

Lesa Tureaud’s Father, Mr. T, caught the attention of director Sylvester Stallone during the “America’s Toughest Bouncer” competition on NBC in 1980. Sylvester Stallone cast Mr. T as a Clubber Lang in the Rocky III film, kickstarting his acting career.

Lesa Tureaud’s Father’s experiences as a US Army soldier were beneficial in “The A-Team” TV series from 1983 to 1987. In this film, he played the role of Sgt. B.A. Baracus, an Army Special Forces vet.

Lesa Tureaud’s father, Mr.T, released a rap album in 1985 called the “Mr. T Commandments”. In this album, he sought to advise children to make good choices. Still, in 1985, he got into professional wrestling, participating in the first WrestleMania.
