Maryann was the second wife of the comedian, and at the time of her marriage, she was a waitress at Caroline’s comedy club. It is unclear for how long the couple dated, but they walked down the aisle in 1999 and made their relationship official.

Born on December 10, 1965, in The Bronx, New York, Greg Giraldo was a famous stand-up comedian. Giraldo’s mother was from Spain, and his father was from Columbia, and he played the guitar while growing up.

Being an immigrant student, he was good in school, and this motivated him to pursue law in college. Greg was given the best education, and he attended Regis High School in Manhattan, where he did well. After graduating from high school in 1983, he enrolled in Columbia University and earned a bachelor’s degree in English. He later joined Havard Law School and graduated with a law degree in 1990.

Greg started working as a lawyer at Skadden Arps after graduating. Although he was practising law, the comedian revealed that he had challenges identifying his life goals and career. He never understood why he chose to join law school while he loved to do something creative.

Because of his desire to do something creative, he started doing stand-up comedy in 1992. He started performing in clubs before he started hosting his comedy show.

What Killed Greg Giraldo

Greg Giraldo died on September 25, 2010, when he was scheduled for a show. The show was meant to celebrate recovery from addiction and offer hope for the yet-to-recover, but unfortunately, he did not show up for the show.

The family and friends that were concerned reported it to the police, who did a checkup on his hotel. He was found unresponsive due to a drug overdose, and immediately, he was taken to the hospital, where he died. The court ruled that it was a mistaken overdose and not a suicide.
